During COVID, Erica and her team This Is Not A Cult (TINAC) created their first feature film Erica’s First Holy Shit! The film is a collaboration with a colorful cast of top local Austin artists and performers, many working in film for the first time. All of the supporting actors are popular figures within Austin’s nightlife scene, including drag queens, musicians, performance artists, burlesque dancers, and comedians, plus a handful of cameos from ‘local’ celebs. There was an emphasis on casting a diverse set of participants and putting women and queer people in lead production roles. The extended collaborative team consists of individuals that have come to define Austin’s queer creative scene. The film won Audience Choice Award at Flip the Script Film Festival, and sold out 5 shows in Austin, Texas. Here can learn more about TINAC and Erica’s First Holy Shit!
